adventurous night!

Indeed, we had an adventurous night at howard's house. Just a very small gathering and to try out the yak meat that lawrence brought all the way back from tibet! Yak meat??? yes... this is how a yak looks like! hmmn.. they look a bit different but all have long long hairs... well... i couldnt believe i ate quite a lot of them... errr... *__*

they marinated the yak meat with garlic, onions & black pepper sauce, grilled with honey.

actually tasted quite nice! (if u dont know how a yak looks like!)

And then...? tada~ Wayne chef's pizza tart!

yesh, pizza topped with onions, green pepper, tomatoes, seafood, mushrooms & lotsa cheese... BUT with a base of tarts... lol... many thought they used the left-over pineapple tarts to make the base!

and what did we do after all the food? oh man, its all about RISK again!

Too bad i didnt take the picture of the "tomato beer pasta"... yea... can't believe wayne poured half a can of beer into the sauce and made the mushrooms, cherry tomatoes etc etc inside tasted so bitter.... grrrr.... *__* not a good try wayne! heh..

Well, I believe i gonna miss all these time of fellowships when i start my new job in Sg... ~

getting ready...

oh ya... another week i will have to move to Sg! i ve just got my employment pass done on tuesday... yah, that little green card! costs me around 5hrs+ to get it done!
i was running up n down the whole Sg... to collect my medical report, went to ministry of manpower (waited for 200ppl that ahead of me), searching for a bank to open an a/c etc...
finally it was all done! now its time to really look for a place to stay in April... anyway, just trust in the Lord! coz His Words said "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you." Psalm 32:8 :)
Looking forward to the new challenge ahead of me!

yeah, its great to have feiling back from melbourne and siaoyeen back from taiwan, truly i missed our time together.

Feiling is back here for 2 weeks but she spent 8 days in china for her family trip, and she is leaving tomorrow. What else we could do except for eating, eating and keep eating??? anyway we will meet again in Sept for her sister's wedding... yah, very soon it will be Sept again!

Only had one dinner with siaoyeen and her husband at the Niniq, together with peiyi, kiong, munteng, ahshi, shui & hing. Had a very short time of catching up. But very soon we will meet again in Dec coz siaoyeen's brother is getting married.

oh manz... many weddings to attend this yr... well, many blessings from God this year i supposed!

the storm is over

my parents didnt talk to each other since cny eve.

until this evening, my mum finally cook the dinner (oh man, i missed her cooking!) and my dad surprisingly joined us at the table and started talking... he said this should be the way to have reunion dinner together bla bla bla... well, i don't understand what's gone wrong with him and i cant be bothered to figure it out, anyway my brothers n i were brought up in this kind of family. we used to suffer a lot when they fight or argue with one another.

but thank God that the storm is finally over... so that i dont have to worry so much even if i move to Sg.

talking bout shujing's younger brother who passed away on 2nd day of cny... i m glad that few of us were by her side when the brother left us in general hospital. it was very sad but i believe God has a purpose behind this incident and truly God is going to use everyone of us mightily to accomplish His tasks! May God continue to comfort shujing and family, especially the mum, slowly to move on from the grief...

CNY? yea, its all about RISK! can't believe that all of us were addicted to this board game. control / conquer one territory in 5 continents... to gain 18 re-enforcement... africa... asia... major... captain... general... hahaha...i never know this game is so addictive! terrible~ :P

oh ya, last night had a great time catching up with siaoyeen (who married to ahchao and stay in taiwan) and shui, peiyi, wenting & their partners. it was great to have everyone back again and have a quick dinner & lotsa talkings... indeed this is the friendship that never fade!

today my right palm was so painful and my fingers were swollen... why? coz our company was having Valentines charity event and i was asked to help them making balloon sculptures... i was making the flowers and i think i made more than 40 of them... they sold one at RM5, amazingly the business was really good and all finished! cool huh...

what a cny...

this is the worst cny i ever had.
no reunion lunch, no reunion dinner.
mum reached home 3am on the new yr eve, in fact this would be a joyous occasion for the whole family as she has decided to come back to Msia for good after working 2yrs+ in cambodia. However, dad was just being unreasonable and he quarelled with mum over small matters, he didnt want to fetch my mum from changi airport, in the morning, he threw few packets of the nasi lemak on the floor and threw a few containers at my mum, even took the broom wanted to hit her... shouting, screaming... and of coz we were crying... mum was really heart broken.
this was not the 1st time and the longest cold war they had was 3 mths, when i came back from australia that time... they slept in different room and never talked to one another for 3 mths. That time i wish i could go back to australia immediately, to run away from all these.
I really dont understand my dad. Can he stop doing all these??? I believe only Jesus can change him!
Its such a great blessing from God to be married for 35yrs and form a family, both are so old already, how long will they still be on this earth? they should cherish every moment to be together.... sighs...
I dont know how long will this last... how to be the mediator? dad was just too stubborn and his temper is super busuk... hiaks...
we did not have a reunion dinner, my younger bro is still in taiwan, finish his studies already yet he doesnt want to come back... mum & my elder brother went to grandma's house, having reunion with mum's siblings, left me to accompany my dad at home... having KFC for reunion meal... sighs.
what a cny...
yet i told God i still praise Him for placing me in this family, so that i can go through this hardship and encourage those who face the same problem as me...
but i do hope you enjoy your cny with your family, indeed, having a reunion dinner with family is so precious... have a blessed cny!

yea, TnT permas cell group had our pre-CNY celebration on last friday night... steamboat feast!

the soup and the liao was superb and especially all the different type of sambal, cilipadi, chili sauces etc... yummy! a great time of makaning & fellowshipping... also farewell to our brother joel, take care & hope u continue to experience God in Kuching! :)
