last nite i received an sms from ann choo...
aunty jenny passed away around 7.30pm (tassie time)...
i didnt shed a tear becoz i know she is in a better place.
perhaps right now she is enjoying good food and shopping with the Lord, dancing with the angels.
2 days ago uncle frank text me and still claim the power of healing from God...

GOD is your source of strength, uncle frank. will keep you in prayer.

amazing sponge cakes

wow! look at these sponge cakes!
our refreshment for cell group last Friday.
weipeng helped me to buy and carried them all the way back from Singapore.
they tasted really nice...
smooth cake with real fruits in between!
my choice is mango, durian & strawberry.
fav will be the mango! it's very nice and the fruits are very fresh... yum yum!
our CG was really quiet while eating the cakes and enjoying the Lipton Peach and Mango fruit tea... wow~~~
The name of the shop is...
"Rich and Good Cake Shop"... haha... how true!
and how i wish it can be "Rich, Good and Cheap Cake Shop"!
anyway, i think it worth the money lah.
Go and get it, taste it and you will know :)

Suga candies :)

beautiful candies! i found this pic and realised this is the handmade rock candy i used to buy back from australia for my friends as souvenirs. they are very beautiful and i love their special customize designs. i saw people customize their names on the candy and made them as the wedding favor for their guests. kinda special :) the brand of this candy is SUGA (they are the best among the handmade candies i ve seen in australia). well... but one thing bad is i always cut my tongue when i ate them (coz they are handmade... not as smooth as those made by machines).

i visited one of their stores in melbourne, if you are going there, make sure you drop by one of them! very nice shop even for a non-sweettooth person like me :)

only 2 seaters in front... and max... haha he was in the cage!

after moving to max's new place (he is going to stay with a very weird landlady, who is EGN! extra grace needed... haha), max treat us for a wonderful fattening meal... the famous Chung Pang Nasi Lemak! it's so weird when you can add on hashbrown, sweet and sour you char kueh on your nasi lemak! i dunno why they have so many weird dish for a simple nasi lemak... but the Q was super long... yellow line on the ground to direct you how to queue... amazing rite...

TnT @ Elim on father's day!

we've promised aunt yueling to help up at Elim on father's day.
we decided to make 70 shepherd's pies and 70 bowls of seafood tomato soup with garlic breads. amazingly the sale was really good and everything was sold out by 12pm! good comments from every customer... hehe...
well, selling these two things is not easy! so much cutting, preparation etc...
lets have a look what we did on saturday afternoon...

wow so concentrating.... jeff cutting pumpkins, ketyng chopping pumpkins, ahzou with his 10kgs of potatoes, minghui n terence were playing with the prawns!

sunday! this is the day! the menu... shepherd's pie in chinese is...

weicheng, our main chef! woowee~

tada~~~

busy busy cooking... preparing...

we prepare, we cut, we cook, we sell, we buy and we eat them! hahaha...

it was a good opportunity to bond our fellowship, serve God through this ministry and serve His people. however, it was really tiring... water blisters and cuts left on my hands coz of the potatoes n carrots, souvenir from the event.

you didnt get to try the food? remember to pre-order next time!

be strong, aunt jenny!

tuesday nite i received an sms from uncle frank that aunty jenny was told by hospital she only has weeks to live... "so, go home and make the best of them!"
i was shocked when i got the sms. how could this happen?...
six mths ago... leukemia found aunty jenny n from there, she has to go through all kinds of chemo, treatment... in & out hospital etc. we, the tassie gang, got the news and we keep praying for her. uncle frank keep us updated thru smses, and i am so proud of them coz they hold on tightly on the promises of God even in times like these. uncle frank still smsing us that "God is good!" "He is gracious!" and they still giving thank to God...
i wonder if i were the one, lying on the bed, sick & weak, will i rejoice? will i have the peace & joy? or will i have any regrets in life? i m not sure... i sit down n reflect... and think... i want to live this life for God everyday of my life! every moment, every heartbeat, make full use of the days when i still can walk, can talk, can sing, can share gospel... never ever waste time...
aunt jenny, we love you, be strong, be courageous, do not be afraid, we all know WHO GOD IS... hold tightly to His promises and never let go!... keeping you in prayer.

where did my saturdays go?

many times my family, relatives, friends around me are wondering why i am alwayz so busy during saturdays... to them sunday is the day attending church services, saturday is the day to relax and for ourselves.

sometimes i have to miss movies, lunchies, dinner gatherings etc (which i know i will miss out lotsa fun) with my friends just because i have to attend teenz service & lead the teenz cell group. well, i do not consider this as a sacrifice but an investment!

this is the 2nd year i am leading this cell group. last year when angela approached me, i was afraid i may not be able to blend into this group, also worried on my leadership skills etc (coz i know i m more like a follower than a leader)... thank God that He has been there to lead and guide me, and i have developed friendship with the girls and slowly our bonding has grown so strong... and we really enjoy the company of one another...

talking to them, having fun with them, crazy with them, eating a lot with them, sharing life with them, loving and caring for them, seeing them growing in the Lord are the greatest fulfilment that i have. God has placed this burden for the young people in me when i was studying in australia, then when i was back to Msia, i tried out sunday school, working adults, music ministry etc but i click most with the youth. From there i realised my burden is with the youth :) and thats the reason i am in fgc teenz now...

i love my girls and its my joy to see them loving God and the people around them... they are my saturdays and they are gifts from God to me. :)

"23:59" time is running out! teenz camp 28th~31st May 2008

hweelie's birthday

we were celebrating hweelie's 30th birthday at this 金玉满堂 Noble House at Tanjung Pagar, having their famous Pekin duck (which i think so-so only, not so fantastic leh)... We had a great time together, chit chating, talking crap and most importantly, celebrating our dajie's first thirties birthday :D
5 of us bought her an armani lady watch and a very nice tiramisu cake from The Patissier , amazingly nice! And she treated us this expensive meal which i think it's not worth the money... Anyway, glad that we spent this quality time together~
hweelie's actual birthday falls on 31st May, but last yr and this yr i was away for the Teenz Camp, so i have to give it a miss... but both years i got my teenz girls to sing her a happy birthday song thru the phonecall, she said she knew i will get my "choir" to sing for sure... haha... not a surprise to her this time.

Now you must be thinking my life over in Sg is as happening as in JB rite? hehe... yah its true coz most of my good friends are working here for quite sometime already and many more are coming too! ...

birthday girl smiles from ear to ear!

Indeed, God's blessings are immeasurable!
