kl & genting

i went up to kl last thurs for a seminar on friday and annual company meeting in genting highland for the weekend.

ann was driving me to nikko hotel for the seminar early morning and we were caught in the jam. Two things i dont like bout KL :- the bad traffic jam and the polluted air. I really cannot tahan to be caught in the jam for more than one hour everyday, i will go crazy i suppose... hehe. JB is definitely better in these 2 areas :D These are the reasons I didnt accept my uncle's offer to work in his legal firm in KL Sentral 2 yrs ago... eventhough i was tempted by the lifestyle and the shopping centresssss *heh*...Looked at the jam... we were heading to Jln Ampang... This is the seminar i attended. I thought the speaker (from america, find him in the pic! sorry, his name was really long and i cant remember it at all, need to refer back to my notes, haha) was going to elaborate more on the fact of the cases, the judgments and the preventive actions. Who knows he was jumping here and there, talking so much on the trading side, import/export of goods, the letter credit, bank's guarantee, shipping docs etc etc, oh gosh... i hardly understand them!!! Nothing mentioned on the case law... super stressed.

I was struggling through out all four sessions, from 9am to 5:30pm (except for the 2hours lunch and 2 tea breaks), i was so regret to spend my time there! This was a very expensive seminar, it costs RM1,200-00 per pax! i wonder those uncles n aunties do they really enjoy the seminar??? 70 of us and most of them were bankers holding high position like VP, GM, AGM... i think i am the youngest in the hall! hehe... The next day, i had a good time catching up with Kenny and his future wife, together with the future mum-in-law. We went to ann's aunt's tea shop (at Kepong) to get their chinese wedding tea pot n tea cups... my first time meeting debbie and she is a very sweet girl :)


Reaching Genting... wow, started to feel the atmosphere of CNY! beautiful lanterns... and we had a welcome dinner by our CEO, look at us, first dish was surely the CNY must have "lou sang"! Everyone hopes to get good luck for the new year, i was taking pics coz i know God is taking care of my days... and i don't need so-called "good luck"... ha ha...

Walking around in first world hotel and this is really funny... Paris tower in Genting??? HAHA.We had a two packed days meeting, meeting and meeting... management review for yr 2007. I only joined this company for 10 months and as a P.A to our CEO, i dont think i give my best to the position... coz i am too weak in terms of business management/ development or operation... :( i requested to be transferred to legal dept (which they dont have one yet)... and guess what? when CEO announced the 2008 Organization Chart, i was promoted to be Assist.Manager in Corporate & Legal Services Dept... Hmmn... Was this a good or bad news? ehhh...

Anyway... the meeting was over, the Org Chart did affect a few personnels and depts... To me, just sat there and listened, nothing much, haha. Had a good time getting to know my colleagues well, esp TL, Bros, Sylvia & Goh... and look at what we had for our dinner? Ketam Bakar in Seremban... Look tempting???? We had it on our way back to JB... Oh yah, finally, i m home... i miss my bed soooo much! Here i come!
